The American Heart Association is dedicated to building healthier lives free of heart disease and stroke. Click on “Local Info” to be directed to your local office’s webpage.

The American Diabetes Association devotes resources to prevent, manage and cure diabetes. Click on “About Us” to find your local office, or “In My Community/Community Programs” to learn more about Project POWER, a program for African American churches.

The American Lung Association is committed to improving lung health and preventing lung disease. A new study reports that African Americans are more likely to develop lung cancer than any other group. Church and community leaders are called upon to speak out.

The Alzheimer’s Association recognizes the growing needs of the African American community when it comes to healthy aging, and has launched an education and outreach campaign to support African Americans living with Alzheimer’s as well as their family caregivers.
